Contactless payment: new, secure, fast

Reduced waiting times, more turnover – contactless payment speeds up small payments.

A flick of the wrist is enough – payment needn't take any longer than that. Contactless terminals make queues a thing of the past.

The customer simply holds the card up in front of the scanner briefly – and this is all that is needed to successfully complete the payment of small sums.

Purchases of up to € 25 require no additional PIN or signature authorisation. But all safety standards apply.

Wherever lots of customers want to pay in a hurry, contactless payment helps save time and increase turnover.

  • Fast:
    Contactless payments are up to 24 seconds faster than cash payments and are particularly simple for your customers.
  • Profitable:
    Customers often buy a little more if they can pay easily by card.
  • Secure:
    There is less cash in circulation, which means that costs for handling cash, shortfalls when collecting payments and risks such as theft can all be minimised. No safety-related data is transferred.
  • Universal:
    Thanks to the magnetic stripe and chip, the cardholder can also pay in the usual manner.
  • Tried and trusted around the world:
    In many European countries and especially in the USA and Canada, contactless payment has, in the meantime, become part of everyday life. There are already more than 100 million contactless cards on the market around the world.
  1. You record the purchase or consumption of your customer as usual.
  2. You ask the customer to hold his or her contactless card in front of the scanner (less than 4 cm distance).
  3. After a maximum period of 0.5 seconds, an optical and acoustic signal confirms that the required data has been recorded correctly.
  4. Payment is authorised just like any other card transaction.
  5. PIN or signature authorisation is only required when the sum exceeds € 25. In this event, the payment slip that has to be signed will be printed off automatically.
